During the Bayern Munich Korea Tour, Sporting Director Eberl was interviewed, responding to Uli Hoeneß's previous comments and providing updates on the transfers of Zaragoza, Boey, and Palhinha.
In the last two months, your chances of renewal have increased by 40 percentage points, at least according to Uli Hoeneß. Do you feel this yourself? Or from your perspective, what is the current situation regarding this matter?
I don't want to bore anyone, but ultimately, discussions about me have always existed, and people have always talked about me. Of course, hearing those words on Thursday made me happy, and I won't hide that. Everyone prefers to hear praise rather than criticism. But I am currently just trying to do my job, trying to do my job well for Bayern Munich, and trying to convince those who will ultimately make the decision that I am not a bad choice. Ultimately, everything will be decided by the supervisory board.
As I said before, my current task is to fulfill my contract with Bayern until 2027. If the club wishes to continue the cooperation, I am willing to sit down and talk.
Does this apply to all players? Is it the same for Palhinha?
I think I made it quite clear three days ago, that is the current situation. These players are those we wish to sell. If they remain with the team, competition will be very difficult. However, they still have the right to participate in Bayern training and to prove themselves through their performance, and no one will object to that. But in terms of overall team building planning, we already have other ideas.
Has there been any new development among these three players (Zaragoza, Boey, Palhinha)?
There are a lot of movements in the market right now. The first phase of the transfer market has passed, many blockbuster deals have been completed, and now some big deals are brewing again. By August, teams will re-evaluate their squads; some teams may adjust their plans due to qualifying for European competitions, and some may be affected by injuries. At that time, the market will see new changes, so patience is still needed. However, it is certain that the transfer market has started to become active.
