Chelsea have turned down Real Madrid's initial bid of €82 million (£70 million) for Eden Hazard.

According to Belgium media Het Laatste Nieuws, Real Madrid's first offer for Hazard has been rejected. Chelsea are reportedly demanding a transfer fee in the region of €115 million (£99 million) for the Belgium international.

Meanwhile, Spanish outlet AS say Hazard is eager for a move to Real Madrid in the summer.

Reports in Spain claim Hazard is determined to fulfill a boyhood dream and play for Zinedine Zidane.

"Everyone knows the respect I have for Zidane as a player, but also as a manager. He was my idol," Hazard said in 2017. "I do not know what will happen in the future. However, for sure, to play under Zidane would be a dream."

The 28-year-old has been plying his trade for Chelsea since 2012. But it appears his future lies elsewhere with the attack-minded player hellbent on securing a switch when the transfer reopens.

He's out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of next season with Real Madrid ready to pounce.

The returning Real Madrid manager has identified Hazard as a player he wants with club president Florentino Perez set to hand him a massive transfer budget of £300 million.

Zidane's pursuit of Hazard is a popular choice among Real Madrid supporters.
