Harry Kane became the third Englishman to score a hat-trick at the World Cup, scoring two penalties and a deflected goal. John Stones notched his first two international goals, heading home twice from set-pieces. Jesse Lingard also found the net, with a sublime effort that epitomised the performance of Gareth Southgate's men in the first half.
