Former Manchester Unitesd star Christian Eriksen has spoken on Denmark teammate Rasmus Hojlund and how he is loving life away from the club.
Hojlund was forced out by United manager Ruben Amorim alongside the likes of Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho who made up part of the “bomb squad” this summer as the Portuguese manager rearranged his side.
The Dane ended up joining Napoli on loan and has since thrived in the Seria A, scoring 4 goals in just 6 appearances so far under manager Antonio Conte.
He is also flying high with Denmark, and scored a brace against Belarus on Thursday night to add to his impressive goal tally so far this season.
Speaking after the game, Eriksen praised Hojlund and suggested that he has completely changed since leaving United, which is often suggested to be a toxic environment.
“He is a man with self-confidence, and he is in the right place so that he can also score the easy goals.
“It is good for the national team that we have got him going, and I am really happy for him. You can see from him that he is in a good period. He looks happy, and the balls are falling in the right places and at the right times.”
Hojlund is certainly a different breed at Napoli and his goals include crucial winners against Sporting and Genoa in recent weeks. He joins Rashford who is thriving at Barcelona and Napoli teammate Scott McTominay who is loving life away from the Red Devils.
