Chaos reigned for Erling Haaland's second Borussia Dortmund goal of the night against Sevilla.
The Norwegian striker was ruled to have shoved Fernando in originally scoring but the video assistant referee picked out a separate foul.
It was ruled that Haaland had had his shirt tugged by Jules Kounde in the build-up and a penalty was therefore awarded to the German side.
Haaland stepped up to take the spot kick and it was saved by the goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, who also blocked his follow up.
Just when Sevilla thought they'd escaped, the VAR intervened again, penalising Bounou for moving early off his line.
The penalty had to be retaken and Haaland did the honours once more, this time scoring low to the goalkeeper's left.
Clearly riled up, the 20-year-old took an aggressive step towards the stopper during his celebration which incensed the opposition players.
They confronted Haaland on the touchline and tensions were raised before the referee eventually diffused the situation.
Haaland's goal put Dortmund 2-0 up on the night (5-2 aggregate) and was his 20th in just 14 Champions League appearances having broken the deadlock with No 19 earlier in the evening.
He's the fastest player in competition history to reach that record and managed it in 10 fewer appearances than Harry Kane, the previous record holder.
The 20-year-old has already scored more Champions League goals than some legends of the game, including Ronaldinho, Francesco Totti, Carlos Tevez, Radamel Falcao and Romelu Lukaku.
His goals weren't enough for Dortmund to win the match as Youssef En-Nesyri scored twice but the German side progress 5-4 on aggregate.
