According to the Evening Standard, England midfielder Declan Rice has recovered from illness and is expected to play in the FIFA World Cup semi-final against Argentina.

Throughout this FIFA World Cup, Rice has been affected by multiple physical issues, including fatigue, stomach upset, calf problems, as well as chronic nerve pain in his hamstring and lower back.
In England's 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway in the quarter-finals, Rice was substituted at halftime, with Arsenal teammate Eze coming on as a replacement. England coach Tuchel stated after the match that the substitution was mainly due to proactive tactical adjustments, but Rice appeared very tired when leaving the stadium after the game.
The report states that Rice spent most of the three days before the Norway match bedridden due to stomach upset. However, his physical condition has started to improve as England concluded their Miami match and returned to their Kansas City training base.
Currently, Rice is expected to play in Wednesday's semi-final at the Atlanta Stadium, helping England face reigning champions Argentina.
In this tournament, Rice was previously substituted in the first group stage match against Croatia and then rested in the match against Panama.
