Anthony Elanga is the subject of interest from Everton ahead of the January transfer window, with the Toffees keen to take the Manchester United winger on loan for the rest of the season.
Elanga has started just six times for United so far this season and he's featured for just 24 minutes since the World Cup, coming on as a substitute against Burnley and Nottingham Forest.
The 20-year-old has fallen behind Alejandro Garnacho in Erik ten Hag's squad, with the teenager producing a string of electric performances in recent months. He started the Carabao Cup win against Burnley and came on before Elanga against Forest on Tuesday night.
It is understood Everton are one of several clubs interested in taking Elanga on loan during the January window, although any move is unlikely to be sanctioned before United have signed a new forward.
The Sweden international has been in every matchday squad so far this season and he's currently required with Jadon Sancho still absent from Carrington as he follows an individual training programme.
Ten Hag also wants United to sign a striker during the window, having seen Cristiano Ronaldo depart in December. It's unlikely Elanga will be allowed to leave until Sancho is back in contention and a new forward has joined the club.
Donny van de Beek spent the second half of last season on loan at Goodison Park but injury restricted his opportunities at the club.
The interest in Elanga comes with the pressure increasing on Frank Lampard. Everton have lost nine of their last 11 games in all competitions, winning only once, and have dropped to 17th in the table. They face a daunting trip to Manchester City on Saturday.
