Everton must use Frank Lampard Chelsea links to sign Armando Broja

Frank Lampard's Chelsea connections will give Everton a huge boost in their attempts to sign striker Armando Broja in the summer transfer window.

The Southampton loanee's brilliant form has seen a host of clubs express their interest in the Albanian after he notched ten goals across all competitions for the saints in the 2021/22 campaign.

This means the Toffees are likely to face stiff competition for the Albanian's services with Nottingham Forest expressing new interest and West Ham already firmly in the race for the 20-year-old, according to Nottingham Live.

With four years still left on his Stamford Bridge contract – the west Londoners are unlikely to let him leave on a permanent deal.

That Is ideal for the Blues because there is no denying his talent but the youngster is still relatively untested in the topflight.

No brainer.

Everton need to add as many young, hungry players of serious quality to their squad as possible and Broja undoubtedly fits that bracket.

For far too long the Blues signed washed up players for large fees, paying them far too much for them to not give the level of commitment required to be at the club.

The Chelsea ace will be desperate to continue to prove himself as he did at Southampton and Merseyside is the perfect place for him to do so.

Lampard needs to be on the phone to his old club, working his magic because the Toffees is the perfect step up from the Saints.

There is more expectation, more pressure and – hopefully – a better quality of football at Goodison Park which will put him in good shape for his eventual return to the Londoners.

If things don't work out, Broja can leave the club and take the experience with him with absolutely no qualms – that is the beauty of a loan deal.
