Everton are prepared to offer Jack Wilshere a huge sign-on fee to prise the England midfielder away from Arsenal.
Wilshere is yet to sign a new contract at the Emirates and could leave on a free transfer this summer.
Sportsmail revealed this week that Everton are ready to pounce should his contract impasse with the Gunners continue.
Wilshere wants to stay at Arsenal but is unwilling to accept the pay cut currently on the table.
And Everton could pay him a huge £8m signing-on fee to persuade him to leave the club he joined as a boy, according to The Times.
Arsenal have so far made only one contract offer to Wilshere, with no indication yet whether an improved package is on the cards.
After spending the 2016-17 season on loan at Bournemouth, Wilshere has become a key first-team player at Arsenal again.
He has made 31 appearances this season, scoring two goals.
