Former Napoli GM Pierpaolo Marino believes Leo Spinazzola has stepped up his game this season.
Marino was commenting on Napoli's narrow 3-2 win against Pisa on Monday night.
He told Sky Italia: "If I watch Napoli in Florence and Monday night's game, I see two different teams, but the Manchester City match had an impact, and that's a given.
"It also had an impact on my mental health, especially the defeat. I'm comforted by the fact that I've watched all the games this round, and even Juve and Inter have shown problems. Instead, I saw a stellar Milan in Udine."
On Spinazzola, Marino continued: "I've been talking about him since last year. He does things like a great player, with great individual technique.
"There was a lot of talk about (Luka) Modric's assist in Udine, and it was the same assist he gave to (Rasmus) Hojlund in Florence. I think he's underrated. I'm not saying he won it all by himself, but almost."
