Fans have their say: 87 percent say Solskjaer should be sacked now

Saturday's 4-2 defeat to Leicester City was the latest disappointing result for Manchester United, who have now lost three, drawn one and won one of their past five matches. For that reason, the pressure has grown on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with many supporters calling for a change in the Old Trafford dugout.

In the hours after Saturday's defeat, we ran a poll on MARCA In English in which we asked readers to have their say on the situation at Manchester United. An overwhelming majority voted that this is the moment for the club to sack the Norwegian coach, with 87 percent answering "yes" to the question of "should Manchester United sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer right now?"

Over 2,000 fans voted in the poll, although not all will have been supporters of Manchester United. There is still a lot of support for the club legend among fans of the Red Devils, yet patience is even wearing thin among the most ardent Solskjaer backers.

The 48-year-old took over in December of 2018, yet hasn't been able to win a trophy so far. Now, after a summer in which Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo were signed, silverware is expected and improvements are needed on the pitch.

It appears that Solskjaer still has the backing of the club's hierarchy and will be given another chance to lead the team towards the top. Yet, many football fans already think it should be time up for the former striker.
