Facundo Buonanotte gave Brighton the lead against Sheffield United in Saturday's FA Cup fourth round clash and he did so in stunning fashion.

The Argentine received the ball in the middle of the Blades half before skipping past a challenge and finding the top corner with his left from 20 yards.

The strike drew jubilant celebrations from the Seagulls supporters while the match commentator said 'that is sensational'.

And fans quickly took to social media to praise the goal.

'There's the goal of the FA Cup this season' wrote one while another tweeted 'oh wow what a strike'.

Another took to Twitter to say 'Facundo Buonanotte take a bow what a goal'.

The opener kick-started what was a highly entertaining first half between the two Premier League sides.

Joao Pedro doubled Brighton's lead from the spot midway through the half before the home side hit back.

Gustavo Hamer pulled one back in the 44th minute before William Osula levelled the game in the eighth minute of first half injury time.
