Feyenoord have taken just their second Dutch title since the turn of the millennium after a 3-0 win against Go Ahead Eagles.

They eased past mid-table Go Ahead with a comfortable victory on Sunday that saw them wrap up the Eredivisie championship.

With two games remaining, they lead second-placed PSV by eight points, with AZ Alkmaar in third and struggling Ajax in fourth.

Arne Slot's side were 2-0 up within 18 minutes thanks to goals from Oussama Idrissi and Santiago Gimenez.

They never relinquished control, and Igor Paixao netted in the second half to put the gloss on the win.

The result sparked wild celebrations from jubilant supporters in Rotterdam.

Pictures show fans setting off red, yellow and green flares, waving flags and jumping into public fountains in joyous scenes.

Feyenoord have won 16 titles, but before 2017 their last one was in 1999.

Ajax's Eredivisie clash against Groningen was called off this weekend.

The game was suspended because of angry Groningen fans invading the pitch to demonstrate against the owners after their relegation.
