Fiorentina targets Udojie, but Tottenham demands €40 Million

According to TuttoMercato, Fiorentina is seeking a replacement for Robin Gosens, and Udojie is Baratic's top target.

The Tottenham Hotspur left-back is considered the strongest candidate to reinforce Fiorentina's left flank, but the deal presents significant obstacles. Fiorentina's sporting director has already made preliminary contact with the English club, but they have set a steep asking price: Tottenham values the Italian international at €40–50 million, a figure well beyond Fiorentina's budget.

However, Baratic is not prepared to abandon this pursuit. Fiorentina may attempt to structure the deal differently—such as a loan with an option to buy tied to specific performance targets. This approach would make the originally prohibitively expensive deal more feasible for the Viola.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina continues to explore alternative options. These include Matteo Ruggeri, whom Atlético Madrid values at around €25 million—a figure Fiorentina considers more realistic. In any case, Fiorentina will not rush into a signing in the near term: before officially bringing in a new left-sided defender, the club must first complete several sales.
