Liverpool has confirmed four players will leave the club at the end of the season, with Roberto Firmino and James Milner among those exiting Anfield.

Liverpool has confirmed four players are set to depart the club this summer, with Roberto Firmino and James Milner among those bringing an end to their time at the club.

As well as Firmino and Milner, Liverpool has confirmed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keïta will also leave Anfield at the end of the season.

Firmino’s exit has been known about for some time, with reports first emerging back in March after discussions over a potential new contract to keep him at Anfield.

The forward was serenaded throughout Monday’s win at Leicester City by the traveling supporters, with Firmino having traveled to the King Power Stadium with his teammates despite not being fit enough to play.

Milner will also bring his long association with Liverpool to an end this summer, having joined the club back in 2015. The Reds’ vice-captain has been linked with a move to Brighton in the summer as Liverpool embarks on a major rebuild after a disappointing campaign.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keïta are also set to depart, having spent six and five years with the Reds respectively, with both seeing their times at the club hampered by injuries.

All four will take in their final home game at Anfield on Saturday as Liverpool hosts Aston Villa, with a place in the top four still in their sights.

Liverpool.com says: The news of the four departures won’t come as a shock to any fans, although there will be more than a tinge of sadness, particularly over Firmino.

The Brazilian will go down as a modern Liverpool legend, and along with Milner, a great servant to the club. Fans will no doubt make sure they get the farewell they so richly deserve on Saturday.
