Footage of Aaron Ramsdale's outrageous shooting ability has resurfaced ahead of England's opening Euro 2024 game, with fans hilariously calling for the goalkeeper to be deployed as a striker.

Ramsdale was named in Gareth Southgate's final 26-man tournament squad despite a difficult campaign with Arsenal where he was relegated to second-choice shot-stopper as Mikel Arteta favoured David Raya.

The 26-year-old is unlikely to feature at the European Championship unless Jordan Pickford is injured or suspended, but some fans believe Ramsdale could be a potential goalscorer and its easy to see why.

For a goalkeeper that has been criticised for the ability to play with the ball at his feet, the Arsenal recruit is certainly showing that isn't the case when it comes to finding the back of the net.

A viral video shows Ramsdale going through a series of finishing drills and dispatching each shot with the finesse of a Premier League striker to the amazement of viewers.

Ramsdale starts showcasing his shooting skills by bending an effort into the bottom corner from outside the boot and quickly begins to show off with more acrobatic efforts.

A bouncing half-volley is then followed by a left-footed strike before former Man United goalkeeper Ben Foster challenges him to score with a series of volleys.

Ramsdale does this with ease as he continues to hit every shot perfectly, even scoring a bicycle kick and scissor volley with unbelievable ease.

Fans on social media raved over Ramsdale's hidden goalscoring qualities, with one post on X stating: 'Should've been playing as a striker instead of a goalkeeper.'

Another Arsenal fan similarly added: 'We don't need a striker. Convert Aaron!'

A tongue-in-cheeky comment stated in response: 'Make him and Saka switch whenever Saka is limping.'
