A Real Madrid maestro and five-time Champions League winner is continuing to revive and redefine his football career after he had his contract terminated in 2022.

The player in question is Isco, the Spanish winger has returned to his best after being snatched up by Spanish side Real Betis at the start of this season.

The 32-year-old Spaniard has hit the crowd running with the Spanish side winning 19 man-of-the-match awards in just 28 appearances.

To add to the impressive feat, the winger has scored eight goals and five assists in the same amount of games, as the La Liga veteran is hoping to aid Betis with a top six finish.

His form this season and the awards he has been handed is quite impressive considering he was without a club for five months at the start of 2023 following a nightmare transfer saga.

Isco who has been capped by Spain 38 times and won five Champions League, three La Liga titles and four club World Cups with Madrid nearly ruined his legacy during the 2022-23 season.

The Spanish winger who made 250 appearances for Los Blancos after completing his dream move to the club from Malaga in 2011, departed the Santiago Bernabeu in 2022 after nine years as his contarct had expired.

Naturally Isco was a hot commodity, attracting interest from clubs both nationally and globally.

He eventually decided to put pen to paper and sign for La Liga side Sevilla, which saw him reunited with former Spain and Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui.

However his fairytale with Sevilla soon turned into a nightmare as just four months into life at his new club, he was already heading for the exit door.

This came after a public falling out with Sevilla's transfer chief Monchi, who was not a fan of the winger.

Monchi publicly claimed that the attacking midfielder wished to depart the club, only for Isco to counter to sit down for an explosive interview denying the claims and also revealng the two had even come to physical blows.

Soon after that Isco looked to rid himself of his time at Sevilla and all look set for him to transfer to Union Berlin during the 2023 January window.

However at the death of the hour, the transfer collapsed leaving Isco without a club for almost six months until he was snatched up by Betis during the summer transfer window.

Isco had also gaining interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham but inevitably ended up signing for Sevilla's bitter rivals Real Betis.
