Former Barcelona president Gaspart talked about the controversial incident after the El Clásico on the program, admonished Yamal, and severely criticized the actions of Real Madrid defender Carvajal.
After one of the most controversial pre- and post-match periods of El Clásico in recent times, former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart advises Lamine Yamal in La Posesión.
Lamine Yamal attended Gerard Piqué's Kings League because his team had a game the day before the clash at the Santiago Bernabéu against Los Blancos. Taking advantage of the close timing between both matches, he compared Ibai Llanos' team with the white team: "They steal, they complain...", he said in an ironic tone. After the confrontation, the final result triggered a reaction from some of Xabi Alonso's players. Particularly notable was the behavior of his national team teammate Dani Carvajal, who clearly gestured to reproach his words, initiating the final scuffle.
Gaspart stated bluntly on the show: "Who the hell is Carvajal? He's been a great player, but he's finished. Why should Lamine call him if his statements weren't even directed at him?", he says before clarifying that for him this problem won't escalate and that in the next call-up they'll shake hands to resolve the issue."
On the other hand, he emphasizes that "if Lamine is not in full condition, it is better that he stops and does not play, he must play in full condition and not have the possible excuse, that he slows down and recovers", insisting on the issue of the physical condition of the youth player.
Advising Lamine Yamal, he asserts that "it is clear that he must be taken care of, but Barça is above him, there is a fan base that loves him very much and he cannot disappoint them, he must win back that fan base and know that people take into account that although he is 18, he is paid like a 30-year-old".
