Former Liverpool ace Jose Enrique mocks Manchester United with April Fool's Day post

It wouldn't be April Fool's Day without a jab between two bitter Premier League rivals, but ex-Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has certainly not pulled his punches this year.

The former Red has gone all out and mocked up an Instagram post showing a beaming Jurgen Klopp alongside the Manchester United crest, claiming that he has become the new manager Old Trafford because he 'wants the most difficult job in the world of football'.

Going even further, Enrique explained that the world's most difficult job was specifically 'to get Manchester United into the top four', pouring scorn on Manchester United's patchy record securing Champions League football since Sir Alex Ferguson left.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League and four points off fourth place.

United have been mired in controversy and crisis for the last few years, perceived by many to be hugely underperforming given the talent they have and money they have spent.

Enrique expressed fake shock at Klopp's 'move' with three angry face emojis at the end of his post.

Enrique is clearly revelling in Liverpool supplanting Manchester United at the top of English and European football, and no doubt having endured much stick from United fans during his Liverpool tenure.

He said in the post that Klopp had found it 'easy to win with Liverpool', a blatant dig at the disparity between Liverpool's hugely successful squad and United's misfiring one.

What Klopp himself has to say about the prank remains to be seen.
