France have flexed their Euro 2024 muscle by hitting Gibraltar for SEVEN in a stunning first half display from Didier Deschamps side.

The French have already qualified for next summer's tournament from Group B, but showed their ruthless streak by scoring seven first half goals from seven different scorers.

It took just three minutes for Deschamps side to open the scoring, as Gibraltar defender Ethan Santos put the ball into his own net to give the hosts the perfect start.

A minute later Marcus Thuram doubled their lead before a moment of French football history was made by debutant Warren Zaire-Emery.

In starting the game the PSG teenager became the youngest post-war international, and it took him just 16 minutes to become the nation's youngest-ever goal-scorer, too.

Unfortunately his night would end early as he suffered an injury whilst scoring his history-making goal and was forced off after just 20 minutes.

Undeterred, France made it 4-0 from the penalty spot when Kylian Mbappe slotted home, while things went from bad to worse for the away side as the unfortunate Santos was then shown a red card.

Three goals in four first half minutes then saw France run riot on Gibraltar, with  Johnathan Clauss, Kingsley Coman and substitute Youssouf Fofana netting before the break.
