Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes is the latest player to be linked with a summer transfer to Saudi Arabia, but his previous comments hint that an exit is unlikely

Now, The Mirror have reported that centre-back Gabriel is currently being targeted for a big-money move to Saudi Arabia. The Gunners are said to be aware of the interest and it remains to be seen whether they would be open to selling the 25-year-old this summer.
The likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain had previously been linked with a move for the Brazilian but he eventually decided to sign a long-term contract in north London last year, with his comments illustrating just how much he loves life at the Emirates Stadium. After penning his deal, Gabriel said: "I’m very happy to sign this new contract with Arsenal, because it's such a big club.
"It’s my dream and today is the best day of my life. I’m so happy to extend my contract here.
"Every game the supporters are pushing the team in the stadium. It’s why I’m so happy to stay here. Arsenal is my home."
Of course, loyalty is less common than ever in football but Gabriel's glowing assessment of life at Arsenal go a long way in showing his love for the club. Considering these comments, plus the fact that he has begun to form such a strong partnership with fellow Gunners centre-half William Saliba, a move away from the club this month would certainly be a surprise to supporters.
