Galtier calls on PSG to be “more aggressive” ahead of Bayern tie

Speaking at his pre-match press conference this afternoon, Christophe Galtier was optimistic about Paris Saint-Germain’s chances of overturning their first leg deficit as they face Bayern Munich in the Champions League last 16 tomorrow evening.

As the team continues to bounce back from their early-year dip in form, Galtier has called on his team to be “much more aggressive” in their performances,, and believes that his players have every chance of going through to the quarter-finals should they adopt that mindset.

The manager pointed out that he was working on shoring up the team’s defence – having conceded two in the win against Nantes, and three against Lille beforehand – but that their German opponents would also have their own weak points:

“We’re going to have to be both cautious and very audacious in the way that we attack.”

He added that all of Achraf Hakimi, Nordi Mukiele and Marquinhos were improving after their respective injury issues, and that they appeared to be match-fit for tomorrow, although a final decision would be made at the end of the training session later tonight.
