Gazzetta: Rangnick to focus on Austria after Milan delays

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, due to Milan's prolonged silence, Ralf Rangnick has decided to fully focus on the Austrian national team.

The report indicates that Rangnick has put a halt to his contact with Milan, feeling that Milan's response has kept him waiting too long. Milan had previously contacted Rangnick, hoping to hire him as head of the technical department, but now Rangnick only wants to focus on his role as head coach of the Austrian national team, as they are about to begin their FIFA World Cup journey by playing Jordan on Wednesday Beijing time (CEST).

Rangnick did not respond to questions about Milan, but he has reiterated to the Austrian FA officials that he intends to continue his current coaching plan after the FIFA World Cup. His contract with the Austrian FA runs until 2028, and whether the renewal contract is signed now or after the FIFA World Cup makes little difference to him. For Rangnick, it's about choice and clarity: Austria wants him and makes him feel valued, while Milan virtually disappeared after contacting him two weeks ago, and he is not accustomed to working this way, hence his dissatisfaction.
