According to L’Équipe, Georginio Wijnaldum (32) has offered to terminate his contract, however, Paris Saint-Germain have refused.
It is clear that the former Liverpool midfielder doesn’t feature in PSG’s plans. He spent last season on loan at AS Roma but has now returned to the Ligue 1 club. However, he is training with the “undesirables” meaning that there is little to no prospect of him reintegrating the first-team. Part of the “loft” PSG are looking to offload Wijnaldum, but they don’t want him to leave on a free.
PSG rejected the Dutch international’s proposition of a contract termination. The club are asking for €6m this summer, despite Wijnaldum’s contract with the club expiring next summer. Since arriving at the Parc des Princes on a free transfer from Liverpool in the summer of 2021, Wijnaldum has played 38 times for PSG. In that time, he has scored three goals and registered three assists.
