Steven Gerrard has certainly had many special moments during his playing career with Liverpool, but today the club legend was seen at Anfield watching his son, Lio, score a penalty in front of the Kopp end.
Like his father, it seems the five-year-old, who was a mascot during Liverpool's 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest, also has a knack for scoring goals at the historic stadium.
Lio, who will celebrate his sixth birthday next week, was seen placing the ball on the spot, taking a few paces back and stepping up to boot the ball into the net, as the fans behind the goal cheered him.
His dad was stood a few paces behind him and walked towards the youngster, and in what was certainly a special moment for both, waved to the fans inside the stadium as they walked around the Anfield turf.
But it was a dream day out for the former Liverpool captain, who scored countless goals in front of the Kopp during his career for the Reds, with the duo also being treated to a thrilling game of football, as his old side battled to secure a hard-fought three points against Forest.
Mohamed Salah was once again Jurgen Klopp's match winner, with the Egyptian striking home on the 70th minute to keep their albeit slim hopes of making the top-four alive, despite his side dropping the lead twice in the match.
It took 47 minutes for Diogo Jota to break the deadlock, glancing a header past the goalkeeper, but Neco Williams cancelled that out with a belting shot from the edge of the box.
Jota scored a second soon after, but again, Forest weren't laying down just yet, with Morgan Gibbs-White cancelling that out on the 67th minute.
Salah would hit back just three minutes later to give Liverpool the win, putting them seventh in the Premier League table, just six points behind Newcastle who currently occypy fourth place.
Gerrard and his son were spotted on the television coverage watching from the stands, and what a game they were treated too, with Klopp's side putting on a showcase of their resilience in front of the Anfield crowd.
The 42-year-old who made 710 appearances for Liverpool, has been taking some time away from management after he was sacked by Aston Villa back in October.
While Gerrard has been working as a pundit in the interim, rumours are now circulating that he could be set to become the next manager of Olympiacos should Gennaro Gattuso not take the role.
