During this international break, in October 2025, Ghana secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup in the United States following a 5-0 win against the Central African Republic.
According to Ghana head coach Otto Addo, only players who participated in helping the Black Stars qualify for the Mundial can be hopeful of a call-up.
"It’s going to be difficult for players who rejected us in the past [to be called up]," Addo said.
"We as Ghanaians need to have some national pride," the coach adds.
Addo recently made history in becoming the first Ghanaian manager to qualify the country for two World Cups.
However, Ghana failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations next January, in what was described as a national crisis.
