According to Goal, Manchester United has been urged to actively participate in the $50 billion NBA Europe project, and several Premier League clubs are expected to follow Real Madrid and Barcelona in forming their own basketball teams.

Reports indicate that the NBA is promoting a potentially profitable project, planning to create 12 teams, four of which can compete without equity ownership, with each team valued at up to $1 billion (£743 million). Premier League giants Manchester United have been suggested to participate in discussions regarding this crossover partnership.

Clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Olympiacos already have basketball teams, and Premier League giants are encouraged to join. The NBA is preparing to provide investors with financial projections and other key information, and is expected to hold a meeting before the end of January to invite potential sponsors, media partners, and investors to participate in discussions.
