Antoine Griezmann has given Barcelona the green light to re-sign Neymar from PSG this summer, despite the Brazilian possibly putting his place in the team at risk, according to reports from Spain.

Now Neymar has been heavily linked with a return to Barca, and Griezmann wants the club to do a deal to bring him back, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Many pundits in Spain say that the return of Neymar would put Griezmann's place in the side under pressure and create uncertainty around his future, as well as that of winger Ousmane Dembele.

But Mundo claim that those concerns couldn't be further from the truth, sources saying that Griezmann has no intention of leaving the club and would welcome the healthy competition from Neymar, should he arrive.

The report says Griezmann is well aware of the chemistry Neymar has with Messi and Suarez but believes he can still fit into the team despite the possible presence of the dangerous trio - who wreaked havoc on La Liga for years before Neymar's departure.

World Cup winner Griezmann is thought to believe that the more quality and firepower Barcelona have at their disposal, the better and the more titles they can win.

And with Messi and Suarez both edging towards their mid thirties, having some younger blood would only be beneficial to the team.

The Frenchman also has a good standing with Neymar, Mundo says, with the pair regularly speaking at events and matches they have featured in, with mutual friends such as Kylian Mbappe and Filipe Luis.
