Griezmann 'willing to take pay cut in order to join Barcelona' this summer (Diario Sport)

Antoine Griezmann will take a 'low' salary with high bonuses at Barcelona in order to force through a move to the Nou Camp this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The Atletico Madrid striker is in demand, however his £193,000 a week salary is a stumbling block for interested parties.

Griezmann himself is reportedly keen on Barcelona, and is willing to accept a pay cut so the Catalan side do not have to add too much to their spiralling wage bill.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Griezmann will instead accept a deal with large performance and goal bonuses, to make up for any savings in his wage.

Sport also report that Barcelona, while unwilling to splurge too much on Griezmann's salary, are set to pay a large transfer fee to Atletico.

A fee of at least €100million - £87.4m - is suggested for Barcelona to prise the France international striker from the Wanda Metropolitano.

Barcelona are still looking to augment their front line after selling Neymar to PSG last summer, in order to add to the threat provided by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

They have spent big on the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho, but have deployed these players on the wing and in attacking midfield respectively.

Griezmann, who has scored 17 goals in La Liga this season, would fit the bill for Ernesto Valverde's side perfectly.
