Haaland: Man City need to keep pushing and fighting for trophies without Guardiola

Erling Haaland insists Manchester City need to "keep pushing and fighting" for trophies following Pep Guardiola's departure.

Guardiola announced last week that he would be stepping down after 10 years at the Etihad, having lifted 20 major trophies with the club during that time.

While City finished as runners-up in the Premier League this term, they did win the EFL Cup and FA Cup double, beating Arsenal and Chelsea in the respective finals.

It is a summer of change at City, with Guardiola's successor yet to be announced, though Enzo Maresca is reportedly the favourite to take over.

And the club has also seen the exits of Bernardo Silva and John Stones, who have been a key part of City's success under Guardiola, but Haaland is confident the team can continue to compete.

"It has been an up-and-down season, but we are going to try to keep pushing and try to fight to win the biggest trophies we can," Haaland said.

"That's what we want to win, and we are fighting to win everything again. It has been a pleasure to play with Bernardo and John, and of course, for Pep.

"It has been an amazing journey, but we need to keep pushing and fighting even without them. Now it is time to celebrate them, and they are truly legends of the club."
