On Oct. 8, after returning to Manchester City for training, Haaland gave an official club interview where he discussed his expectations for the upcoming match against Liverpool.

Haaland said: "I think the Manchester City fans travelling to Anfield will have a great time, and we have to stick together, support each other, and stay positive. Whatever happens in life, we have to keep smiling."

"We need to stay positive, look forward, try to win the game, enjoy the process of playing, and strive for victory. We must be united and show love to each other. So stick together, enjoy the journey, and keep smiling."

"I care a lot about this place—or rather, England as a whole. My mother and father lived here for ten years—in Nottingham and Leeds—but my father trained every day at Carrington."

"I spent my first four years here. My younger brother is nine and my younger sister is six, so this is a special place for us. I must say, I care deeply about Manchester City and the fans because I am a fan myself—I can empathize with them."

"Games against Liverpool are always special. I've won, drawn, and lost there. Every Premier League game is different, and every match against Liverpool is special."
