After Norway's 1-2 defeat to England, Haaland gave a post-match interview.

On the match
This result is very difficult for all of us to accept. We went into the match with strong belief and confidence, while also having great respect for England, because we knew it would be an extremely tough challenge. I think that for a long period, our performance was competitive. But at this level of competition, one detail can often change everything. We did create some chances, and the whole team put in a great deal of effort, but unfortunately, that was still not enough for us to get the result we wanted.
I am proud of the effort every player put in tonight. Even when the match became difficult, no one gave up, and that is a positive we can take from this game. Losing is never easy, especially in a competition like this. But that is also part of football. We have to stay united, be honest about our own issues, learn from our mistakes, and use this experience to make the team better in the future.
Personally, I have always set higher standards for myself because I want to help the team win every match. Whether or not I score, the most important thing for me is always the result. Today we leave with disappointment, but I will keep working hard, continue to improve myself, and do everything I can to help Norway achieve better results. That is both my responsibility and one I am willing to take on.
I also want to thank every Norwegian fan who supported us throughout the tournament. Whether you were there in person or watching from home, your support means so much to us. We know we let you down tonight, and that is very painful. But this team has tremendous willpower and a bright future. We will come back stronger, keep believing in ourselves, and do everything we can to make our country proud again.
