Tottenham star Harry Kane will appear on Hot Ones, the YouTube series have announced.

The England skipper is currently away on holiday following the end of the 2022-23 campaign, having been granted extra time off as a result of his participation with the Three Lions.

Kane has been one of the most talked about stories of the summer transfer window, with the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich being linked with moves for the striker.

But he has avoided speculation over his future throughout the off-season, instead enjoying his time away from football ahead of a new campaign.

Now his latest holiday activity is set to see him feature on the hit YouTube series that sees celebrities attempt to eat a series of chicken wings while being interviewed.

However, the Hot Ones twist sees the wings increase in spice levels, starting from around 1,600 Scoville unites - less than that of a Jalapeno pepper - and ranging as high as 2,000,000+ - the equivalent of a Carolina Reaper pepper.

The challenge has seen a host of famous faces from a number of different industries take on the challenge, but Kane will become the first from the world of English football.

Several stars of combat sports have appeared on the show, including the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman.

The First We Feast channel announced the news on Instagram with a short video, featuring Kane at the table with a series of hot sauces lined up in front of him.

The England captain is set to feature in the July 13 episode of the 21st season of the programme.

With his place at Tottenham as yet uncertain, it is thought that greater clarity on what the future holds for Kane is thought to come once he returns to the club for pre-season.

He will find a new boss in place with Ange Postecoglou being announced as Spurs' latest manager over the summer,

Kane will report for pre-season training on Wednesday — his first under new Spurs head coach Postecoglou — before the squad leaves on Friday for a pre-season tour to Australia and South-East Asia.

Bayern Munich have so far made two approaches for the player, the latest worth a minimum £68.5m. But the Bundesliga club's valuation of Kane falls way below the £120m Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants for his talismanic striker.

With Kane able to leave for free next summer, there is hope at Bayern that Levy's current valuation is a negotiation tactic and the 29-year-old will become obtainable for a much lower fee.

But the likelihood of the German giants even getting close to £100m — a fee that could yet bring Levy to the negotiating table — appear small.

Bayern executives are now assessing whether to play the long game and will consider leaving the bidding this summer before returning in January, at which point Kane will be in the last few months of his contract.
