Hassan unfazed by South Africa, backs Egypt’s readiness

Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has played down concerns ahead of a potential clash with South Africa, insisting the Pharaohs are well prepared to handle Bafana Bafana’s style of play.

Speaking confidently, Hassan argued that South Africa’s national team follows a clear and familiar football identity, one he believes mirrors the approach used by their domestic clubs. According to the former Egypt striker, this consistency works in Egypt’s favour.

“South Africa’s style of play is one way. It’s just like their clubs,” Hassan said. “Recently, Al Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids FC faced their clubs more than once. We will be ready for them.”

Hassan’s comments underline Egypt’s confidence drawn from recent continental experience, with Egyptian giants frequently competing against South African sides in CAF competitions. That exposure, he believes, has equipped the Pharaohs with enough tactical knowledge to neutralize any threat posed by Bafana Bafana as Egypt look to impose their authority on the continental stage.
