Havertz scored in Arsenal's 4-1 pre-season victory over Girona, and in a post-match interview, the German forward stated he was ready for the new season.
Arsenal had a week-long training camp in Spain and defeated Girona 4-1 in a warm-up match. Tsolis, Daumann, and Gabriel Jesus also scored alongside Havertz.
After the match, Havertz said the team felt good on the field, and it was a well-deserved victory. Havertz said: "Yes, I think it was a good victory. You can already see our teamwork on the field. This was a good test for us, and the opponent is also a good team. I think we played very strongly, and now we need to continue doing this."
This was Havertz's first appearance since playing for the German national team in the World Cup. Havertz said that even though pre-season preparation had just begun, he already felt good.
Havertz said: "Matches are the best way to get back into form, especially for players. I think everyone has had a long rest, and it's important to play a few games. We are already looking forward to the next match."
Regarding his physical condition, Havertz said: "To be honest, pretty good. I had three weeks off, and I don't feel like I've dropped too much. I feel good, I feel strong, and I'm ready."
Havertz also praised the impact of new signing Tsolis. He said that he already knew Tsolis from playing in Germany. At the same time, Havertz also praised several young players in the team, believing that their training input and ability were impressive.
Finally, Havertz looked ahead to the new season. He stated that the players are determined to build on their May championship.
Havertz said: "Now it's a new season with new standards. We need to do more to achieve our goals again. Of course, we had a good season last year, but we want to win more trophies and make the fans happy, and that's what we're here for."
