He watched the rest of the game - Klopp says Salah seems fine

There was a major scare for Liverpool as Mohamed Salah had to go off against Newcastle with a head injury after a collision with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, but Jurgen Klopp had a positive update after the match.

The coach explained that his player was able to watch the end to the game, which Liverpool won 3-2, from inside the dressing room.

He said: “He got the hip of the goalie in his head and then was on the ground.

“The doctor had to make a decision - on the pitch or off the pitch - and the decision was off the pitch and we accept that of course.

“When we came in, he was sitting in the dressing room and watching the game, or had watched the game.

“He was then fine but of course we have to wait. He got a proper knock in that situation.”
