On March 19th, UCL Round of 16 2nd leg, Newcastle was defeated 7-2 against Barcelona. Eddie Howe the Magpie manager accepts the interivew during post-match press conference.

Talking about this match, Eddie Howe confessed, "What I'm disappointed in the most is that we're not doing well on defence. After that(Yamal scored the penalty), we had to determine whether we had fully recovered mentally from the goal gap.

Following this, Eddie Howe continued, "We slipped in the second half. I believed our defense during the round when Barca was awarded the penalty was not good. If we're 2-2 from the first half, I believe we could put more energy and passion into the second half."

Mentioning the performance of both legs, Howe says, "The final score is not a reflection of the actual performance gap between the two teams, nor can it reflect what the players and our fans have experienced. The Champions League is always the stage we are fighting for and dreaming of. We have a fabulous fan group tonight, a very strong connection between us and them."
