Chelsea add goalkeeper to Champions League squad amid Kepa Arrizabalaga reports.

Chelsea have added young goalkeeper Nicolas Tie to their Champions League squad on the 'B' List.

The 18-year-old joined the Blues's academy in the summer of 2017 and has been part of the Development Squad and the FA Youth Cup.

On a few occasions, Tie has also been part of the first team squad and has been the third goalkeeper when Kepa Arrizabalaga has not been in the squad.

It's unlikely that Tie will get any playing time, with Kepa, Willy Caballero and Jamie Cumming as the main goalkeeper choices.

However, Blues boss Frank Lampard has to make a decision over who will be his number one.

George McEachran and Marc Guehi were taken off the 'B' List after making their loan moves last month to SC Cambuur and Swansea City, respectively.

The 'A' List is a maximum of 25 players, two of whom must be goalkeepers. There are a minimum of eight places reserved exclusively for 'locally trained players'.

The 'B' List is a player who is born on, or after, 1 January 1998 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday.
