The LA Galaxy captain is not worried about the Golden Boot fight between him and Carlos Vela since Zlatan doesn't need a reminder to know who is the Best.
The Golden Boot race is getting hot with Zlatan Ibrahimovic two goals short from Carlos Vela's 29th mark, with just three games left into the regular season, who will lift the scoring title is still unpredictable.
But for the LA Galaxy captain, the Golden Boot award doesn't seem to keep him awake at night with Zlatan knowing who is simply the best. "I am the MVP of the MVPs, so I don't focus on that." were Ibra's words after the 2-1 Galaxy victory over Montreal.
The Swedish Lion also mentioned where his mind is at, as he only focuses on performing well and making his team win in their quest of reaching the MLS Cup final.
"I focus on performing and making my team win because now we are in a good position; we just have to continue. This is what we want; we want to be in the playoffs, and then we take the race from there. So, whoever wins whatever individual award is not important for me."
Zlatan has 27 goals in 26 games, while Carlos Vela scored 29 in 28 appearances, but Ibrahimovic has missed more action than the LAFC captain, and he's sure people know about that little detail too, keeping in mind the way to help his team is to score goals.
"I don't know how it works with the Golden Boot. With playoffs or without? I don't know; I just try to help my team. I think I missed five or six games compared to the other ones." commented Ibrahimovic.
