'I'm wanted by Arsenal and Man Utd - this is what will turn my head'

Arsenal and Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani has already told them what he desires to sign on the dotted line.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker, 26, has been linked with both clubs, as well as Premier League rivals Chelsea, ahead of the January transfer window. The French international has struggled since making a £64.2million move to PSG from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023.

Kolo Muani has found it difficult to secure a regular starting role under Luis Enrique this season after failing to hit any sort of form, even with the sale of Kylian Mbappe.

Enrique’s response to a question regarding the forward’s situation last month was particularly telling, having said: “I could speak about it but I won’t because my decisions say it all, even if as I have said, all of my decisions can be changed.”

But PSG’s loss could be an English club’s gain, with reports this week claiming he could be offered to the likes of Arsenal and United in the January window. It may not take much for Mikel Arteta or Ruben Amorim to persuade the frustrated Kolo Muani to join based on comments in June 2023, prior to his PSG transfer, where he admitted it was his “dream” to play in England.

“It’s flattering that PSG are interested in you, like all the other big clubs,” he told Canal Football Club. "It’s not just because you come from the Parisian region and grow up there that you should automatically play for PSG.

"Honestly, who doesn’t dream of playing in the Premier League? It’s one of the best leagues that exists. You dream about it. These are childhood dreams.

“But I’m not searching for the perfect club or the best club in the world. I’m really looking for the club that will give me the chance to be able to express myself, to earn game time and most importantly allow me to grow.”

Arsenal had not initially been expected to sign a wide player in January, but the Gunners are in need of forward options after losing both talisman Bukayo Saka and his replacement Raheem Sterling to injury, with the former set to be sidelined for months.

United are also reportedly keeping tabs on Kolo Muani as Amorim prepares for his first transfer window as the incumbent Red Devils boss. Despite making just two starts across Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season, Chelsea were also said to be keen on Kolo Muani last week.

However, a L’Equipe report via Get French Football News has denied the Blues’ interest, citing sources close to the deal. The likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, AS Monaco, RB Leipzig, Juventus, Galatasaray and AC Milan have also been linked with the Frenchman.
