According to Argentine media outlet TyC, FIFA President Gianni Infantino attended the 2025 Ole Summit and discussed the Argentine national team and Lionel Messi.
Infantino stated: "Congratulations to the Argentine national team for maintaining such a high standard over an extended period and successfully qualifying for the 2026 North American World Cup."
"I hope Messi can participate in his sixth World Cup, which would bring joy to everyone."
Messi has previously competed in five consecutive World Cups. In 2022, he led the Argentine national team to fulfil their dream at the Qatar World Cup, securing the championship title.
