Inside the plan to reunite Messi, Suárez, and Neymar at Inter Miami

For now, a move bringing Neymar to Inter Miami seems unlikely but, yes, there’s a ‘but’...

The rumors surged over the weekend: with Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets expected to retire at the end of the season, The Herons were reportedly eyeing the Brazilian forward to recreate the legendary MSN trio that once dominated with Barcelona. Messi, Suárez, and Neymar reunited in Miami – a romantic notion that remains far from reality, as Santos have not even received a formal offer for their star.

Could we see Messi, Suárez and Neymar together in Miami?

According to sources at AS USA, Santos have no concrete proposal on the table to send the former PSG and Barcelona attacker to Florida. Instead, the Brazilian club plans to hold on to Neymar, though that depends on their immediate future in the Brasileirão, where they sit 16th with 28 points – perilously close to relegation for the second time in two years. Should Santos secure survival, Neymar is expected to stay; but if they drop to Serie B, Inter Miami’s hopes could flicker back to life.

The Florida club’s interest in Neymar is not new. Since his departure from Saudi side Al-Hilal, speculation about a Miami move has floated through Fort Lauderdale’s offices and among global fans as a dream scenario. Yet once Neymar signed again with Santos, Inter Miami backed off – at least for now. The forward has been sidelined with a right quadriceps injury since September and is expected to return in late November, just in time for Santos’ decisive final stretch of the season, as he tries to save the storied Peixe from the flames.

When does Neymar’s contract end at Santos?

Neymar’s deal with Santos runs through December 31, 2025. The club’s survival will determine not only the future of one of Brazil’s football giants but also the renewal of its most valuable and iconic figure. Inter Miami will be watching closely.
