Inter Milan are planning a move for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos which would include striker Mauro Icardi.
According to a report in 'Corriere dello Sport', the Serie A side would offer Madrid the Argentine forward in an attempt to open negotiations for the German international.
The idea is to take advantage of Madrid's search for a new striker as they look to fill the goal gap left by Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus.
Icardi's name is one of those which has been linked with the club regularly since the summer.
The Argentine is expected to renew with Inter but he has not signed new terms yet, which could see him included in a deal for Kroos.
Madrid has become a shop window for Inter, who have also pushed strongly, without luck, for the signing of Luka Modric in recent months.
