Isco took to social media to wish his Real Madrid teammate Marcelo a happy birthday, as the Brazilian turned 34 years old on Thursday.
The Real Madrid midfielder published a picture of the two men celebrating and joked about how rare a sight it is to see both of them on the pitch for Los Blancos nowadays.
"Happy birthday legend. It has been difficult for me to find a photo of when we [both] played," wrote Isco, accompanying his message with some laughing emojis.
Isco has not managed to establish himself in Real Madrid's starting line-up under coach Carlo Ancelotti.
He has struggled to rediscover his form in the last few years and is expected to part ways with Los Blancos on June 30, when his contract comes to an end.
However, Isco may stay put in LaLiga Santande, as Real Betis are interested in signing him.
Marcelo's future
As for Marcelo, his future remains unclear. The Brazil international, whose contract also expires on June 30, wants to stay put at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but there haven't been any talks about a potential extension between the two parties.
