According to Italian media outlet Calcio e Finanza, due to their absence from European competitions, Milan are expected to incur a loss of 25 million euros in the 2025-2026 season.
This is primarily because Milan will not participate in European competitions in the 2025-26 season, leading to a decline in stadium revenue and TV broadcasting revenue. The latter fell by 42.40% compared to last season, from 154 million euros to 89 million euros.
Calcio e Finanza's report also indicates that Milan's total revenue for the 2025-26 season will be 433 million euros, a 12.4% decrease from 494 million euros in the 2024-25 season. However, both commercial revenue and player transfer revenue improved. Commercial revenue increased by 5.90%, mainly due to higher sponsorship fees paid by main sponsor Emirates; player trading revenue reached 100 million euros, coming from transfer gains and other minor transactions.
Calcio e Finanza's report states: "Finally, revenue from player rights management will still account for nearly a quarter of total turnover, projected to reach 100 million euros. In the 2024-25 season, this item stood at 72.7 million euros, but sales during last summer's transfer window, especially the departures of Theo Hernandez and Malick Thiaw, coupled with transactions in which buy-out clauses were exercised during the season, have further boosted this figure for the Rossoneri."
Matchday revenue decreased from 69.157 million euros to 57.3 million euros (-17.60%); commercial revenue increased from 152.327 million euros to 161.3 million euros (+5.90%); audiovisual rights revenue decreased from 154.216 million euros to 88.8 million euros (-42.4%); player trading revenue increased from 83.171 million euros to 100 million euros (+20.20%); other revenue decreased from 35.299 million euros to 26 million euros (-12.4%); and total revenue decreased from 494.53 million euros to 433.4 million euros (-12.40%).
