The Italian media have called on Inter Milan to deliver 'the greatest joy' ahead of tonight's Champions League final.

The Nerazzurri will go up against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in Istanbul this evening, in a battle for European football's most esteemed prize.

And, ahead of the game, the national media has taken the opportunity to send their final message to the players and staff of Inter Milan.

Corriere Dello Sport opted for the headline: 'After two lost finals, Italy asks Inter for the greatest joy' and had 'ONLY YOU' in centred in the middle of the page.

They also suggested that coach Simone Inzaghi was 'chasing Mou' as he looks to emulate the previous success of former Inter manager Jose Mourinho.

Man City striker Erling Haaland filled the front-page of TuttoSport, who wrote 'NO FEAR' beside a picture of the Norwegian.

Further down the page, the outlet questioned whether Inter have the 'heart' and 'courage' of Diego Milito - who scored a brace in the 2009-10 final to clinch Inter's last Champions League title.

Quotidiano Sportivo made reference to the Italian national team's Euro 2020 final victory over England and asked Inter to 'Give us another Wembley'.

Photos of Inter Milan's players that featured on that night in London featured alongside the headline, as a reminder of their previous achievement.

La Gazzetta dello Sport had 'Make them Nerazzurri' as their headline with a large photo of striker Lautaro Martinez plastered on the side.

In a section below, they suggested that it may be 'an Impossible Final' for Inter but called on the experience of Martinez to help guide them in Istanbul.

Lautaro Martinez is likely to lead the line alongside former City striker Edin Dzeko.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Milan Skriniar are both expected to be fit for the final but Joaquin Correa looks set to miss the game.
