Ronaldo: "If you're not even a coach, how can you become the manager of Manchester United? I've never even heard of him."
Note: After leaving Schalke in 2011, Rangnick had only two brief coaching stints in 10 years before becoming Manchester United's interim manager in December 2021.
- On internal suspension:

- On Wayne Rooney's criticism:
