James Rodriguez believes that Paris Saint-Germain can start celebrating premature victories in every competition in France if Lionel Messi joins the club this summer.
The Argentine is available as a free agent after Barcelona confirmed his exit on Thursday, with PSG now the frontrunners to sign him. The French club, though, do have financial obstacle to overcome first.
"If Messi goes to PSG they'll be in a league of their own in France," James said on Twitch. "Give them all of the titles already.
"I don't think anyone in England can pay his salary, maybe only Manchester City."
The Colombian continued to talk about Messi's situation, and expressed sympathy with Sergio Aguero.
"Kun Aguero went to Barcelona and now Messi is leaving," James added. "They're partners.
"But that's football. The same thing happened to me. I went to Everton because [Carlo] Ancelotti was there and now look."
