Jamie Carragher hailed Liverpool's "lovely" second goal against West Ham in their thumping 5-1 Carabao Cup win after Curtis Jones superbly slipped in Diogo Jota to put the team ahead.
The Reds ran riot over the Hammers at Anfield on Wednesday night as Jota and Cody Cakpo both netted braces, with Mohamed Salah also on the scoresheet as they came from behind following Jarrell Quansah's own goal.
It was a night where Arne Slot's side demonstrated their ruthless attacking ability as they dominated Julen Lopetegui's men, who finished with ten men after Edson Alvarez's red card.
But one particular moment earned huge plaudits from Reds icon Carragher as Liverpool flipped the game on its head following Jota's equaliser. The Portuguese star finished another move that was created by the returning Jones - who was making his first start of the season after a muscle injury.
Jones drove towards the edge of the box with three West Ham star closing him down before subtly playing in Jota to slide into the net - with both players being mobbed by their team-mates.
Carragher said Jones deserved to be recognised after the "lovely" moment, adding: "Brilliant from Jota to slot it again. This goal is all about Curtis Jones and that's why he's getting as much of the praise from his team-mates as the goalscorer.
"There's a lovely double touch from Jones, he just takes it from the outside of his right foot and plays it through Kilman. That is fantastic and Jota doesn't miss in those situations."
Jones admitted it had been tough being out injured - having also missed a chunk of last season - but said he was delighted to be back on the pitch playing to impressive his new manager Slot.
"I just want to play," said the 23-year-old, who played the full 90 minutes. "It's been hard, I've had an injury and stuff but now I'm back and playing games with a smile on my face."
After reaching the fourth round, Liverpool's next tie will be a trip to fellow Premier League side Brighton, with Slot managing to avoid facing the remaining top sides like Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Liverpool will next travel to Wolves on Saturday for an evening kick-off before hosting Bologna at home in the Champions League. They will then play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on October 5 before the next international break.
