Manchester City have progressed into Continental League Cup final after a 3-0 semi-final victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

First-half goals from Jessica Park and Khadija Shaw sealed the win for City in a dominant performance at the Academy Stadium.

Gareth Taylor's side have now set up a final with WSL reigning champions Chelsea, who won the competition against Arsenal in 2020 and Bristol City in 2021, as the Blues bid to make it three consecutive trophies on the bounce next month.

Spurs broke down the left flank in the early stages of the contest, but Kerys Harrop's deflected cross was scooped up by Ellie Roebuck in the ninth minute of play, just shortly before the visitors had a huge chance.

The north London outfit should have opened the scoring in the 13th minute of play as Jessica Naz latched onto a loose ball in the centre circle and raced into the box, but Roebuck was off her line to the edge of the box, and the attacker fired wide of the target.

The hosts then had their first real chance of the contest as Khadija Shaw surged into the box and slotted a shot past Rebecca Spencer, but just wide of the far post.

Georgia Stanway then tried to bend a shot into the top corner for City but curled her effort wide of the target before City did open the scoring in the 21st minute of play through Jess Park.

The forward showed some skill to get into the box and hammered a shot into the bottom corner - leaving Spencer with no chance to give her side a 1-0 lead.

City doubled their lead just six minutes later as Shaw tapped into an empty net from point blank range as Park hooked the ball back across the face of the goal after Caroline Weir’s shot took a huge deflection following a terrific run from Lauren Hemp.

Taylor's side continued to play some beautiful football and took a comfortable 2-0 lead into the half-time break.

City picked up where they left off in the second-half by playing some impressive passing football.

Park ran onto a ball down the right wing, but her cross landed on the roof of the net in the 50th minute.

England international Lucy Bronze pinged a shot over the crossbar shortly after as the hosts continued to pile on the pressure.

Hemp put the nail in the coffin in the 71st minute as she stretched the lead to 3-0 as he jumped the highest to slot home a cross from Park.
